hb.dev is a technical consultancy based in Aarhus, Denmark. We build production AI and data systems for organisations where failure has real consequences.
We started hb.dev because most consulting engagements end with a handoff and a slide deck. The team that scoped the work disappears, a different team builds it, and a third team is left to run it. We do all three. The engineers who sit in your discovery sessions are the same ones writing the code and operating the system after launch.
We take on a small number of engagements at a time. We work in defence, critical infrastructure, healthcare, and public sector. If your project needs security clearance or regulatory sign-off, that is where we do our best work.
Founders
MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from the University of Birmingham. Specialises in computer vision, NLP, and production ML systems.
Has designed and deployed AI across defence, healthcare, utilities, and financial technology, from on-premise GPU inference to cloud-native ML platforms running dozens of models in production. Has delivered in classified defence environments.
MA in Analytical Philosophy from Aarhus University with research in Bayesian epistemology and AI. Specialises in MLOps, platform engineering, and putting ML systems into production at scale.
Built and led AI platform and MLOps infrastructure for industrial IoT and spent four years building ML products for defence. Has productionised AI solutions deployed on thousands of devices across multiple countries.
